LeBron's IPromise School
LeBron James Family Foundation
LJFF has a vision to change urban, public school education for good. Based in Akron, OH, the town LeBron struggled and grew up in, the iPromise Program is an education-based support network designed to catch some of the most underserved students in the system and surround them with the community support they need to focus on school. These are kids coming from situations that would challenge any adult, and yet, to date the LJFF has helped over 1 million kids who would have otherwise been left behind.
In August 2018, the first iPromise school opened its doors to resounding support from the whole country. This innovative approach represents an experiment in the public school system to build counseling, mentoring and trauma-based approach into everyday curriculum.
More to come!
